Friendship Speed Dating
Friendship Speed Dating is the signature monthly event from
Her Social Season, designed to help women meet new friends in a fun and welcoming environment. Through guided icebreakers and short one on one conversations, you’ll meet a room full of amazing women in a single evening.
Why We Created This
Adult friendships matter.
Supportive female friendships can bring joy, confidence, encouragement, and a sense of belonging. But as life gets busier with work, routines, and responsibilities, it can become harder to find time and spaces to meet new people and build those connections.
At Her Social Season, we believe that friendships deserve intention. Taking time to meet new people, nurture relationships, and stay connected is an important way to invest in both yourself and your community.
Friendship Speed Dating was created to make that easier.
By bringing women together in a welcoming, guided environment, we help create a space where conversations flow naturally and new friendships can begin.
How It Works
Most women attend on their own, and that is completely normal. Everyone in the room is there for the same reason. To meet new people and make new friends!
Check In and Connection Cards
When you arrive, you will check in and receive a name tag with your name and a number.
On your name tag, you will also write three short facts about yourself. This gives other participants a quick cheat sheet about you and helps make conversations easier to start.
For example, a name tag might look like:

You will also receive a connection card that includes a list of participants by number and name. Next to each name you will see a Yes, No, and Notes section.
Throughout the evening, you can mark whether you would like to stay connected, pass, or write notes to help remember your conversation. At the end of the event, you will turn in your connection card so we can see who matched.
Pink Flag Icebreaker
We begin the evening with our signature Pink Flag Game, a fun group activity designed to help everyone get comfortable and quickly discover shared interests.
As prompts are read out loud, participants raise their pink flag if the statement applies to them. This allows everyone to visually see who in the room shares similar hobbies, personalities, or life stages before the speed rounds begin.
For example, prompts might include things like loving to try new restaurants, enjoying fitness or wellness activities, being new to the area, or working remotely.
It is a lighthearted way to break the ice and helps conversations feel much more natural once the speed rounds begin.
Speed Friendship Rounds
Next we move into the Friendship Speed Dating rounds.
Participants rotate through a series of short one on one conversations with other women in the room.
Each round lasts 5 minutes, giving you enough time to introduce yourself, share a little about your interests, and see if there is a connection.
Depending on the size of the group, you may not have the chance to meet every single person during the speed rounds. The goal is simply to create many opportunities for genuine conversations to happen.
Open Social
After the speed rounds, the event transitions into open social time.
This is a relaxed opportunity to continue conversations, introduce yourself to people you may not have met during the rounds, and connect with anyone you noticed during the Pink Flag Game.
It is also a fun time to take selfies with the props we set up, chat with new friends, and enjoy the energy in the room.
Friendship Matches
After the event, we review the connection cards.
If two people both selected Yes for each other, it is considered a match.
Within 24-48 hours after the event, we will email you a list of the people you matched with along with their name and preferred contact method. Before the event you will choose whether you would like your matches to receive your phone number or your email address.
From there you can reach out and continue building your new friendships!
